Hemp News ArticleThere's a lot going on in the world, and a lot going on in the world of hemp. What's happening in the world of hemp is a reflection on the world as a whole because the plan to bring hemp products back into the market, is a plan to bring back a sense of pride in who we are as people, and what we are doing here, on planet Earth.

Why? Because hemp products replace the toxic petroleum products that are causing our climate change and ecological crisis. Is it really that simple?

YES. With hemp we can make almost everything we want and need for our modern lives. Hemp is an super fast, easy to grow weed that absorbs tons of carbon and is beneficial to the soil. Every part of the plant - stem, flowers & leaves, seeds, & roots - is a commodity with commercial scale use to make the things we use every day. Everything that gets made from hemp is eco-friendly, carbon-negative or neutral, and compostable....meaning there is no toxic waste or garbage, and no CO2 climate change gases!

Its the perfect plant on which to base a circular, bio-product economy. Oh Joy! You mean, we can have our cake and eat it too! Yes, we can have all our stuff without our climate and environmental crisis! WOW!

Ironically, this has always been available to us, and was the basis our economy up until 1937! Thats when the petroleum corporate entities began rearing their nasty, profit motivated, heads and managed to eliminate the booming hemp industry, and keep hemp products from competing for nearly 100 years. This bizarre "Reefer Madness" campaign was the beginning of a corporate agenda using lies and propaganda to achieve their profit goals. Boy...Those rich folks sure do not like competition!

So... common sense suggests that we otta be making more things from hemp because using more compostable hemp products means using less toxic plastic petroleum products, choking us and our environment, causing diseases like canser, and creating our climate change disasters and mass extinction crisis.

So, while hemp may not be able to solve all our environmental problems, it can go a long long way. There are two reasons for this. One... simply by providing hemp products, which are none toxic, eco-friendly alternatives to plastic and petroleum products; and Two....and this is even more significant....by creating a tangible reason for a "mindshift"! By giving us a reason to make the change from synthetic-toxic, to organic-compostable! We are not just talking about grocery bags and single use plastic here....we are talking about most things that are plastic, fiberglass, wood, and paper. Yes, your car, your fridge, your boat, your house, your phone and computer, your clothes, almost everything we use everyday, can, and some argue, must, be made from compostable bio-fiber in order to solve our environmental crisis before it's to late!

The simple fact is, in order to get rid of toxic waste products, we have to stop buying them. Its not like they are going to stop making them...right! But to be able to stop buying them, you either need to go without it, or you need an alternative product that is non-toxic. That, my friends, is where hemp comes in!

Hemp is an alternative solution that each and every one of us can get behind and support. We can use hemp to create a new "pardigm in thinking".... about how we treat our Earth home! If we all take responsibility for that which gives us our "Life on Earth"; the air, the water, the soil, the wild plants and animals; and we realize our very exsistance depends on these things being healthy, then we will find a way to reduce our footprint and live in harmony on Earth.... One way to do that is through a hemp based, circular, bio-economy that produces no toxic materials and no waste. And That my friends, is what HempLife is all about!

Mindshift
We all pretty much know by now that our modern society and technology is a losing game in the long term. To avoid serious consequences, change is necessary. Our present systems; economic, political, business, corporate capitalist, technological, etc. have put us on a train track headed for distruction! We are already experiencing massive climate change disasters because of the failure of these institutions to correct themselves, remain democratic, and put the train on tracks to equlity and prosperity for all, not just a handful of global business owners. History dictates that the more power and wealth gets transfered into the hand of a few people, the worse it gets for the environment, and poverty raises. This is all bigtime happening right now!

The reason for this is simple, the "corporate capitalist profit model", which has become the basis for how our modern society opporates. In this model, these institutions and corporations have only one thing in mind.... profit! Profit for the company, profit for shareholders, profit to CEO's. There is zero considerations for the environmental eco-systems, which life on Earth is dependant, no consideration for any species or any living thing for that matter, and definately no regurd for people. Our wars, climate change, many of our so called "natural disasters", poverty, etc. etc. are all a result of this corporate-profit-motive!

We have to realize that, it hasn't always been this way. In fact, this mode of profit-thinking and operating has only a 75 year history, as opposed to 15,000 years of human society. So, its not like this is the only way of doing things, or the only thing we know. But what makes this societal train wreak confusing is "why". Why do we continually stay on this track when we know of the impending disaster. Why have we done nothing about climate gases when scientists have been warning about climate change since the 1960's.

The answer.....Propaganda...or in other words, advertising! The corporate, good-boys-club, that used propaganda to remove the hemp industry from competing with the emerging petroleum industry, became highly effective at controlling the narative on what we should be buying. From the bizarre propaganda 1930's film "Reefer Madness" to the present day, we are all influenced in our daily lives by advertisments. We can't avoid them even if we wanted to! And what we have been buying for 100 years is chemical toxicity, every step along the way from housewares, to fuel, to pharmeceuticals, to cleaning products, skin care, to lawn care.... almost every product on the market is toxic to the environment! And for 100 years we have bought the lies and sales tactics....hook, line , and sinker!

As a result, most of us don't connect the products we buy, to the destruction of eco-systems and the climate crisis because if we stop buying the products, the profits stop rolling in and the company dies. For the company to remain, it must reep profit at any cost. So companies spend billions to convince us that we need to have this or that product, no matter how toxic it is to the environment. So, from the capitalist-corporate-company point of view, there is no stopping this train steaming toward existencial disaster.

The great irony of the profit-at-all-cost model is that the environment can be laid to waste, the customer can be laid to waste, the entire biological earth can be extricated, but the profit-at-all-cost model will not, and cannot change.

So, what do we do? The answer to this is exactly what the HempLife Community Network is all about. Just the simple realization that it doesn't have to be this way. The only way we can stop this train, and get on the tracks to prosperity-for-all, including all the animals and plants we share the Earth with, is to stop playing the game! Become an advocate for the Earth by using earth-friendly products. Become an advocate for a circular economy! Think about your footprint and the footprint of your community and seek to find was to reduce it.

Hemp Life Community Network has the goal of all these things. The purpose is to assist members in bringing back a sense of "belonging" to our "Earthly Planet", a sense of harmony and balance that is so important to life. We are a group of like minded individuals realize that money has nothing to do with well-being. Well-being comes from living in harmony with your community, your self and your Earthly home.

Common sense suggests that we have but one home....which we call Earth...and there is no other! It also suggests that this planet is not just a source for commodity extraction, nor just a garbage dump for our waste! Perhaps it's time to reconcile that we share a planet with millions of species and our wellbeing is dependent on the wellbeing of the wilderness, ecosystems that we seem so hell bent to destroy or toxify.

Our respect for our precious planet Earth, our one and only home, has become so drastically removed that we have an existential environmental crisis! We need to gain back our basic respect for Earth....this mystical, magical place from which all living things have origin and have evolved. Does this wonderful planet not deserve our deepest respect? Are we not ourselves products of evolution on Earth. Why do we allow exploitation of Earth when we have the power to simply stop purchasing Eco-system destroying products.

Shouldn't we learn from our mistakes, then chart a new path to do better, for both the people and the planet. The 1937 Hemp prohibition can be considered the greatest environmental tradedy of the modern era because it allowed plastic, petroleum and petrochemical to flourish without competition from hemp. It also marks the day in which corporations discovered that through propaganda they can manipulate consumers and the market to do whatever they decide....and for the 80 years since prohibition we have been inundated with propaganda for products that have been literally killing eco-systems and wild species the ever since.

So now, we have an existential environmental crisis! Who's to blame? Is it the corporations for using every tactic possible to sway us into buying their toxic product? This is, after all, the way corporations work. A corporation is a profit driven entity with a profit only motive to increase the value in their shares for the shareholders.

Or..... is it us, the consumers of these Earth killing products, that allow ourselves to be manipulated by corporate propaganda to buy toxic products that we don't need, and then for us to not care how the Earth will deal with our toxic product once we no longer find use for it.

It took Mother Nature millions of years to create us humans and billions of years for the complex environmental world around us. It has taken only 75 years of corporate greed and propaganda to create our climate change, plastic pollution and mass extinction global crisis! It is not the responsibility of each of us to gain back our respect for life, and that which gives us life, and to then make the necessary changes we each need to regain respect for the planet, and the wild things we share the planet with, and shift our individual mindset and eventually create a paradigm shift!

Fortunately the shift is simple, at least in theory; by simply purchasing environmentally respectful hemp products and supporting the new emerging hemp industry, we can bring back hemp as a source material for manufacturing and replace toxic plastic products with compostable hemp products. By promoting nature based solutions for our product requirements, we can learn, once again, to treat the Earth, and all it's beings, with respect!
