About Our HempLife Community?

Hemp Life Community is a community of people taking green action by asking a simple question before purchasing a product, "is this product sustainable"?

There are thousands of healthy and sustainable products made from hempseed, hempfiber, hempcbd flowers and hemproots, HempLife is a great place to start on a personal, sustainable journey and to reduce your ecological footprint. (Definition: Ecological Footprint - the impact of a person or community on the environment, expressed as the amount of land required to sustain their use of natural resources)

Purchasing a hemp product is a healthy, eco-friendly and sustainable choice. The more a person and community uses hemp and other bio-products, the better for the community's ecological footprint. This practice supports a shift toward a sustainable, circular economy using products produced by nature. This practice creates more jobs, taxes and profit in the community.

Studies show that when communities prioritize people and the planet over profit, more money stays in the community and therefore the community becomes more profitable and better able to attend to economic and social needs. It's a win win for communities and the environment.

Hemp is the best raw, source material from which to build a future bio-circular economy into our modern lifestyle. Circular Economy (def. an economic system based on the reuse and regeneration of materials or products, especially as a means of continuing production in a sustainable or environmentally friendly way)

Hemp can go a long way toward reducing the human impacts on our climate and environmental crisis. This is possibly the most important issue facing our society today. HLCN is a community of people who understand the need to buy green and the need to adopt bio-products such as hemp as their go-to source when purchasing most common household products.

At HempLife we believe that Hemp is a "gift from Mother Earth". This is because Hemp is capable of producing thousands of diverse, personal health and earth-friendly products; products that are truly "sustainable" because they:
  • are either carbon neutral or negative and actually store carbon,
  • last a long time and are reusable,
  • can be recycled 12 or more times,
  • are biodegradable/compostable,
  • are non-toxic and do not pollute the soil and water.

Why Change - Hemp vs Plastic

Why not stick to the "status quote" of the economy built on the profits and products created by the petroleum industry?

This is a question every society is contemplating as we face our pollution, climate and mass extinction crisis. The discovery of synthetic plastic, making most common products cheaply from petroleum, was the greatest discovery of the 20th century, so we thought.

Over the last 100 years, chemists have created thousands of petrol-chemical products for every facet of society from pesticide and herbicide in food production, to non-stick cookware, to polyester clothing, to fire retardant fabrics and all the single use  plastic and plastic packaging..... the list is endless.

While plastic has been a benefit for human society.... there are three colossal and now painfully obvious problems.

1. Nature's decomposers, bacteria and fungi, cannot break down synthetic plastic and therefore it remains in the environment forever causing all manner of environmental degradation.

2. The molecular structures of plastic and other modern petrol-chemicals are not natural so when they become micro-plastic, the size of molecules, they enter biological systems, like our body, and cause all manner of disease.

3. Oil is difficult and expensive to acquire so only a few companies earn the vast profits from exploiting Earth's petroleum resources. This has created an ever increasing welfare gap where the prosperity reaches only a few and poverty around the world is growing rapidly.

Large scale hemp production would immediately resolve all these issues and make the world a better place for people, all creatures, and the planet as a whole. Hemp bio-plastic and bio-fiber are viable solutions for creating alternative earth-friendly, sustainable products. This is because most things that people use everyday can easily be made from hemp bio-fiber solving the three major problems of plastic:

1. Natures decomposers, bacteria and fungi love hemp and Hemp products therefore are 100% compostable. That means that a product made from hemp returns to Earth and there is no waste to contaminate our precious ecological systems.

2. The molecules of hemp are the same as the molecules that make up our biological systems, like our body, and the natural world. So the molecules derived from hemp decomposition are the same molecules in your natural body that promote health and do not cause disease.

3. Hemp is an agricultural crop grown by local farmers. Therefore the supply-chain is spread out amongst the community providing more local entrepreneurs and jobs.

Putting the welfare of Earth, and the shared prosperity of communities, over the profits of a few, is no longer just an idea to consider. It is a necessary path that needs to excellerate rapidly to avoid the worst scenario of the pollution and climate crisis. Change is hard, however the need to change grows stronger every day.

The HempLife Community Network is actively working toward local hemp product production to promote environmental recovery and create a sustainable future for coming generations.

HempLife is an active and engaged community that shares thoughts and experiences, product ideas, plans, resources etc. through our "HempLife Newsletter, Blog, and Podcast". We look forward to expanding our community and expanding Earth-friendly hemp products wherever and whenever possible.

What does it mean to live a
Sustainable Life Style?

A sustainable lifestyle is simply one that causes no net-negative impacts to our one and only planet, our Earth home. These days, with our modern lifestyles, living sustainably can be a difficult task. That is precisely why we started HempLife Community Network. To help each other with innovative ideas on simple ways to improve our personal footprint. (Definition: Footprint - the impact of a person or community on the environment, expressed as the amount of land required to sustain their use of natural resources)

We believe that hemp products holds the key to this global change in health for both people and planet.

We believe that the Earth is suffering due to a corporate agenda that prioritizes profit over the environment and people. Healthy people and a healthy planet

mean nothing....but the problem is...there is just no room left on Earth for all our future garbage. But still, every day profit motivated companies bombard us to buy toxic plastic products that worsen the climate, pollution and personal health crisis.

By purchasing plastic products we are poisoning our one and only planet Earth-home! But by purchasing hemp products, the exact opposite happens....rather than contributing to environmental chaos, hemp products work toward restoring environmental systems, and create a path toward sustainable societies.

If we consider Earth as our home, and we each treat the Earth with the same care and respect that we treat our own house hold, we will then purchase products which respect the Earth's environment, and with respect and all the other species we share the Earth with.

So what happens when you purchase a hemp product and why is it so important. Its important for two reasons; 1. the good things that happen, and 2. the bad things that don't happen. The combination of the two together, is a recipe for a better relationship between we-the-people, and the Earth under our feet......this amazing planet of sun, air, water, and soil....these simple elements that created "all life as we know it".

Good Things That Happen:
  • Air: Carbon is removed from the air and is stored within your product reducing atmospheric CO2 and mitigating climate change.
  • Soil: The deep and massive root system of hemp adds nutrients and fiber to soil improving the structure, carbon content, oxygen content, water retention, mycorrhiza and overall profile.
  • Water: Less water is needed to produce a massive amount of hemp biomass from which many 1000's of products are produced.

Bad Things That Don't Happen:
  • Air Pollution: Unlike fossil petroleum products, no carbon is added to the environment through manufacturing using hemp. The carbon footprint of hemp can be no greater than "net zero" percent (even through burning hempoil diesel) as hemp removes the same amount of carbon from the air as it releases back through combustion. Hemp can be no less than carbon neutral and is often carbon negative, such as in the case of hempcrete housing, which stores massive amounts of carbon.
  • Soil Degradation: Hemp regenerates soil that has been depleted from yearly accumulated chemical sprays and fertilizer. The cheapest and fastest way to improve soil condition is to grow hemp. All crops benefit from the improved soil conditions resulting from hemp roots. Hemp is also excellent for bio-remediation....removing toxic chemicals from soil.
  • Water Pollution: The run-off from Hemp crops to streams, lakes and to the ocean has little or no agricultural pollution so the waterbodies surrounding the fields stay healthy. Plus the improved soil conditions from hemp crops allows for less chemical inputs for other crops.
  • Chemicals: Hemp grows with zero herbicides, usually no pesticides and requires much less fertilizer then most other major crops. This makes hemp super easy to grow organically, creating negligible agricultural pollution run off.

Supply & Demand
People Powered Purchasing

World markets are based on "Supply & Demand". When we consumers "DEMAND" eco-friendly products like hemp, the markets will react to supply the products that we insist on having. We call it.... People Powered Purchasing!

You & I, as consumers, have the power
to change the impact that products have on the Earth
by simply choosing to buy products that are
Eco-friendly & sustainable and contribute to our
